- Review the current evidence base around outcomes from interventions using Intuitive Eating in eating disorder treatment.

- Describe three techniques to utilize principles of intuitive Eating in the treatment of eating disorders.
About the Presenter:
Sumner Brooks, MPH, RDN, LD, CEDRD is a fat-positive registered dietitian, eating disorder specialist and entrepreneur who has been working as an outpatient counselor with clients along various levels of the disordered eating spectrum for over 11 years. Her experience includes being a Certified Intuitive Eating counselor since 2014 and she is currently in program to earn her certification as a Body Trust Provider through Be Nourished. Her online education and community platform for ED dietitians, called ED RD Pro is currently in its 4th year running, providing HAES-informed, eating disorder treatment training for dietitians and dietetic students around the world. She currently works with clients at Sundstrom clinic in West Linn, where she has a passion for working with adolescents. Sumner’s most formative mentor is Elyse Resch, one of the co-authors of Intuitive Eating whom she has worked under the supervision of since 2011.
