- Learn to identify the symptoms and behavioral responses associated with misophonia.
- Review several approaches to treating misophonia and identify situations in which referral may be indicated.

About the Presenter:
Shadee A. Hardy, MSW, LCSW is a cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist working with adolescents and adults at Abri Radically Open DBT. Her theoretical orientation is CBT and her focus is on the use of RO DBT and ACT. She is currently an RO DBT scholar working towards becoming a senior clinician. She also specializes in working with clients who have misophonia. She has presented at the Misophonia Association’s Annual Convention, has partnered with local audiologist, Dr. Marsha Johnson (who was one of the first in the country to document this phenomenon), and started an online support community for misophones worldwide. She provides misophonia treatment consultation to therapists worldwide to support their work with clients on a condition that remains relatively misunderstood and confounding.
