About Schuyler:
 
Schuyler Bailar will briefly share his journey through eating disorder recovery and his identity discovery to become the first transgender NCAA D1 men’s athlete in any sport. He will explore the challenges at the various intersections of his identity as a queer Korean American transgender athlete who has struggled with mental health. Schuyler will welcome questions, engaging the audience in a dynamic conversation about topics ranging from his coming out journey, toxic and gentle masculinity, gender dysphoria, body image, and radical body acceptance, competing at elite levels as an LGBTQ+ athlete who recovered from an eating disorder, the role of disordered eating, self-harm and therapy in his journey; and activism in the current political landscape.
