Christine Anderson MS, LPC Intern
I work with teens and adults who are seeking healing from disordered eating, body shame, chronic dieting, and trauma.
My approach to therapy is grounded in curiosity, respect, and flexibility. My practice is strongly influenced by relational and psychodynamic therapies, and I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) when indicated. I emphasize Health at Every Size® and Intuitive Eating in my work.
I am here for you regardless of your readiness to ditch diet culture. I believe in your ability to find new ways to relate to your body and food.
Inclusion is at the core of my practice and my therapy office is a space for clients of all identities. I strongly believe in the power of this healing work and honor diversity in all of its forms (race, ethnicity, class, sexual orientation, gender identification, size, age, and ability.) My office is ADA accessible.
I am currently a Body Trust® provider in training through Portland’s Be Nourished. I am under the supervision of Karen Hixson, LPC, PhD.
