Eating Disorder and Trauma Therapist
Specializing in treating people suffering from trauma and eating disorders, I also work with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, grief, post-partum depression, parenting, low self-esteem, addiction, and marital conflicts.
I believe that our relationships deeply effect how we feel, including our relationships to our bodies, our environment, our loved-ones, our habits, and our thoughts. Examining these relationships through somatic and psychodynamic approaches provides an opportunity to better understand ourselves and facilitate change.
To support this change, I also strive to develop important life-skills such as assertive communication, healthy boundaries, mindfulness, and support networks. I currently work as a primary therapist at the Eating Disorder Center of Portland and have a private practice in NE Portland. Having trained in both Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and talk therapies, I work with individuals, couples and families.
