Helping clients move toward mindful/intuitive eating and body acceptance/neutrality.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years of experience helping individuals find growth and better health through therapy. I have specialization and interest in treating anxiety, depression, disordered eating, body image, trauma, pregnancy and postpartum issues. Whether you are bingeing, restricting, compulsively exercising, or engaging in some other behavior, you will find me to be knowledgeable, compassionate and respectful. Our work will help you decrease shame, increase awareness, and implement practical tools for change. We will work collaboratively to identify what is happening, why and to explore ways to move forward, often utilizing intuitive and mindful approaches. Helping you find a path toward more peace with your body is one of my passions. I am a Health At Every Size Practitioner which, in simplest terms, means that I support people of all sizes in finding compassionate ways to take care of themselves. Often body image work begins with analysis of your unique history in the context of societal pressures. This may also include an exploration of the ways in which your body image may be impacting sexual functioning. Wherever you are on your journey toward body neutrality or acceptance, I will try to meet you and help you move toward greater freedom. *Please note, due to my limited practice hours, I am unable to accept clients who are experiencing severe eating disorder symptoms and/or medical compromise.
