I am a Mental Health Counselor Associate, a Certified Nutrition Therapy Practitioner, and a former personal trainer. I help teens and adults with eating disorders build healthier relationships with food, movement, and their bodies. Using an anti-diet, Health at Every Size (HAES®), and intuitive eating approach, I help people reconnect with their bodily signals, process their underlying experiences of trauma (including religious trauma and complex trauma), increase their sense of body trust and safety, identify alternative coping skills, and find food freedom. I also regularly work with athletes. My primary theoretical orientations include Emotions Focused Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and Internal Family Systems. (Note: My legal first name is “Andrea”).
