Biographical Info
The mission of Hello Life Eating Disorder Recovery Services is to provide an equitable, free, accessible and dignified pathway to eating disorder recovery and positive body image to all individuals in Cowlitz County, Washington. Hello Life is a peer led agency that specializes in eating disorder peer support services. Our work is rooted in the principles of Health at Every Size. Our peer support services serve both youth and adults and include peer led support groups, peer mentorship, and community prevention and education. Hello Life also helps offer access to professional eating disorder recovery care like professionally led support groups, resources and referals. Hello Life services are not intended to replace professional eating disorder help and are intended to use in conjunction with mental health professionals and medical professionals. All of Hello Life's services are free; we do not bill in any kind of way and therefore insurance is not a barrier for the folks we serve. We serve all individuals in our community. Hello Life was founded by Shira Lile in April of 2015 after moving to Cowlitz County and realizing there was a need for resources to support eating disorder recovery and prevention . Shira Lile is the agency's current Executive Director. Shira is an Eating Disorder Intuitive Therapy Peer Support Provider and a Licensed Facilitator of The Body Positive.
