Taryn Hand, MS, RD, CSSD, LD

Taryn is a Registered Dietitian and Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics with over 10 years of experience in the field. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Biology at the State University of New York – College at Geneseo, where she also ran cross country and track competitively for four years. She then completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics at the University of Connecticut and continued on to receive her Master of Science in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology from OR State University.

Taryn uses her clinical skills in nutrition applying a non-diet approach to help clients make peace with their food and body and trust their internal cues. She operates from an “all foods fit” philosophy and incorporates tenets of intuitive eating, mindful eating and Health at Every Size in her work. Taryn has experience working with eating disorders/disordered eating, sports nutrition, general health and more. Previously, she has worked at the PHP/IOP levels of care for eating disorders and as a sports dietitian in collegiate athletics.

Outside of work, she enjoys road, cyclocross and gravel cycling, hiking, urban farming, home improvement projects and adventuring in the outdoors.
