Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based treatment used to treat complex, multi-diagnostic individuals with a wide range of behavioral health concerns such as eating disorders, suicidality, self-harm, substance use disorders, and difficulties in emotion regulation. Portland DBT Institute offers three levels of adherent DBT treatment: enhanced skills training (skills-only groups), standard outpatient DBT, and intensive outpatient programs (IOP).
The Eating Disorder IOP (ED-IOP) at Portland DBT Institute is a 16-week program specifically designed to provide comprehensive, evidence-based treatment for individuals battling eating disorders, including anorexia, ARFID, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and other disordered eating behaviors. This program is grounded in DBT, which has been proven highly effective in helping individuals develop healthier relationships with food, body image, and emotional regulation. The ED-IOP is an excellent fit for adults and young adults struggling with disordered eating behaviors who may need more support than traditional outpatient services or are transitioning to the community from a higher level of care.

Bio
As a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN), I have dedicated my career to empowering my clients to reclaim their body autonomy by finding food freedom and making peace with their bodies.
My compassionate approach is informed by the core truth that we are all born with the ability to intuitively nourish our bodies. Mixed messages around food propagated by our culture (i.e. diet culture), however, threaten to disconnect us from our body autonomy and this innate skill. Cue the self-limiting beliefs and shame and, well, you’ve got yourself a messy relationship with food!
As a dietitian, I work alongside my clients to help them rediscover their ability to intuitively eat as well as work towards healing their relationship with food. Through my practical, yet empathetic approach, I can help my clients break down big, scary goals into smaller, manageable (i.e. less scary) ones. This ensures that the skills we are working on are sustainable - which is kinda the point!
It is my belief that we are far more than what we eat and that everyone deserves a life free from intrusive thoughts about food.

For more than 25 years, Providence Eating Disorders Treatment Program has helped patients recover from anorexia, bulimia and atypical eating disorders.
Our treatment process begins with a thorough clinical assessment to address current and past eating practices and the physical and emotional consequences of these practices. This includes the evaluation of symptoms, such as depression, anxiety and substance use, as well as lifestyle factors, such as social support from family and friends.
As patients approach or re-approach treatment, their readiness and the timing of treatment are also considered. Recovery is a process that requires persistence, courage and effective treatment resources.

Dietitian, Life Coach
Bio
Hello! I’m a nutritionist, dietitian and life coach with a passion for helping you tap into intuition, connect to your core self, and move forward in a life grounded in your inner wisdom. I have worked as a Body Positive Nutritionist for over ten years, helping folks with disordered eating, weight concerns, diabetes, and overall well-being. I believe that every body, no matter the size, deserves to be nurtured and cared for, which is why I use a weight inclusive, body positive approach. In addition, in the past ten years, I’ve focused my continuing education on behavioral health so that I can better help folks navigate the food-mood connection.
As a coach, I have a passion for helping folks identify and deepen their strengths and core values to focus on forward momentum.
I have a passion for helping folks who find themselves struggling with perfectionism, all-or-nothing thinking and find themselves floundering and often feel lonely in the journey with food. I’ve integrated Radically Open Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (RO DBT) principles throughout my work with clients. RO DBT helps those who tend toward perfectionistic thinking and black/white to improve flexibility and openness, strengthen their relationship with food and body, and build skills that cross over into other areas of life. I periodically offer Radically Open Nutrition classes.
Working with Lynae will be a combination of nutrition support to help nourish your body while checking in with mental health to honor your past experiences, heal wounds that impact your current relationship with food, adapt skills to situations where mood impacts food choices. Lynae has spent the past 10 years focusing continuing education on mental health to offer mindfulness, counseling skills and offer you a toolbox that will be far more holistic than nutrition information on its own.
