Bio
I became a counselor because I am passionate about healing! I believe that people have the ability to change and improve their lives in ways they never thought possible. I work hard to cultivate a space of warmth, kindness and safety so that we can explore this territory together. You can expect me to be compassionate, warm, determined and fierce in our work together, loyal and tenacious in advocating for you. I look forward to empowering and motivating you in a safe, non-judgmental space where the therapeutic process will be tailored to fit your needs.
I have cared for people with a broad range of challenges including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, relationship concerns, grief & loss, life transitions, addiction and trauma. I also specialize in eating disorders.
Some of the treatment orientations I work from include: Person-Centered, Existential-Humanistic, Internal Family Systems, Multicultural, Relational, Strength Based, Trauma Focused, Feminist, Integrative, HAES® (Health at Every Size), Body Trust® and Sand Tray.
In terms of my education and training, I earned my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health from George Fox University and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Oregon (no. C5818). I am a Certified Body Trust® Provider with Be Nourished and have completed Level 1 training in Internal Family Systems (IFS).

Long-time fat activist and eating disorders specialist, and one of the founders of the Health at Every Size framework of care, I work with people who are exposed to the harmful ranking of bodies and worth. I am licensed in California and Washington and do telehealth with people who are seeking more connection with their own wisdom and the wisdom of their chosen communities as we navigate this wild ride. I also do consultation with other clinicians, researchers, activists, authors and journalists who are also trying to thoughtfully chart a path. I do not accept insurance (or communicate with insurers) but provide monthly superbills for those who might get reimbursed.

I provide compassionate and evidence based nutrition counseling. I am also a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, and weave this into the work I do. I love supporting adults who have identified that whatever they are doing isn't working anymore, and are ready to dig deep into their food and body story, in order to find relief and maybe even freedom. I also work as a clinical dietitian, and am able to support clients with other health conditions, including but not limited to digestive issues (IBD, IBS), type 1 and type 2 diabetes, etc.
I provide individual nutrition counseling via telehealth, but also offer educational grocery store tours and in home cooking lessons in the greater Portland and Vancouver area. You can learn more on my website!

I have been working in the field of eating disorders since 2013, supporting clients in residential, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care. I am passionate about helping people cultivate better relationships with food and learn to trust their bodies again (or maybe for the first time ever). My areas of expertise include disordered eating/eating disorders, diet burnout, pre-natal and post-partum nutrition, and weight-neutral, non-diet management of PCOS. As a Certified Body Image Coach and a Health at Every Size® practitioner, I pride myself on creating a space that is safe for all bodies.

Bio
I practice nutrition counseling with an anti-diet, intuitive eating, and HAES® approach. This means that I uphold the belief that food is not black and white and that people in larger bodies deserve equal treatment in society, including healthcare. Additionally, I support and align with the fat liberation movement by acknowledging the systems within our society that oppress fat individuals and by participating in dismantling these systems. I am also passionate about providing care to people of all backgrounds and identities. It is important to me to create a space that is safe, welcoming, and inclusive for everyone and every body.
In working with individuals with diverse backgrounds, I feel it’s important to acknowledge the various forms of privilege I have as a white, cis-gendered, able-bodied, straight-sized person. Because of my own privilege, I realize that I do not share the lived experience of everyone I work with, which is why it is important to me to listen to your story and understand who you are as an ally in your journey and pursuit of healing.
My previous work experience includes working in primary care settings where I supported individuals with various nutrition-related health concerns as well as at eating disorder treatment centers at the residential, PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program), IOP (Intensive Outpatient), and outpatient levels of care.
In addition to working with individual clients, I also offer supervision to dietitians looking to enhance their eating disorder recovery and anti-diet nutrition counseling skills.

Bio
As an eating disorder & sports dietitian, I am passionate about helping athletes and non-athletes alike fuel for their sport and life without losing their shit around food. My favorite part of what I do is forming connections with my clients and reminding them that food is more than fuel and that they are more than a body (and if they're an athlete, that life is more than sport). I use a trauma-informed, HAES-aligned, client-centered approach to educate and empower clients to heal their relationship with food, movement, and body so that they can live the life they want and deserve.
