Hello! I am Kate, a weight inclusive, non-diet dietitian helping my clients forge a better relationship with food, their bodies, and fitness. I have a Bachelors degree in Applied Exercise and Health, as well as Food & Nutrition and have experience working in higher level of care for eating disorder treatment. My practice is virtual, and I am licensed in both Oregon and Washington, so I see clients all over the PNW! I use an Intuitive Eating framework to help guide my clients toward tuning into their bodies, rather than following rigid food rules or diet nonsense. I especially enjoy helping those who are looking for a healthier and happier way to support their active lifestyle and prenatal/postpartum mamas looking to nourish and care for their bodies.

I believe that food plays an important role in connecting us to ourselves and also to those we care about. When an eating disorder or disordered eating develops, it disrupts the relationship with oneself and with others. My goal is to meet you where you are in your recovery process and help you begin or continue your journey. For some individuals, that means having a more structured approach to eating, and for others it means giving yourself permission to eat more freely. My style is to be honest and straightforward, and to support you in finding better ways to nourish your body. If you enjoy being active, and are healthy enough to do so, we can also work on motivations for being active and improving your relationship with physical movement. My approach tends to be direct and supportive, always working within a treatment team. I hope to help you understand why you have used eating disorder behaviors from a nutrition perspective, and help you learn to let them go. I practice from a HAES, non-diet and weight inclusive approach.

Hi! I am holistic healer blending ancient wisdom with modern therapeutic practices. As both a certified mental health therapist and a yoga teacher with a deep connection to the mystical, I offer a unique, integrative approach to wellness. With 13 years of experience in mental health therapy, I specializes in helping individuals and couples navigate trauma, anxiety, and life transitions. My therapeutic approach weaves traditional talk therapy with somatic practices, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. Rooted in a belief that healing occurs on multiple levels—mind, body, and spirit—I empower my clients to reconnect with their inner wisdom and cultivate balance. The trauma work I do is guided by using dialectical behavioral therapy and somatic approaches to increase stabilization and reconnect the mind body connection. As a yoga teacher, I embrace a "witchy" approach to movement and spirituality, offering classes that blend Hatha, Yin, and Restorative yoga with ritual, breathwork, and guided meditation. My classes often align with the phases of the moon, seasonal cycles, and nature’s rhythms, creating a sacred space for students to explore their inner selves. Through the use of mindfulness and intention-setting practices, I guide students in embodying their fullest potential. My classes for clients are individual yoga practices that are created for the client's specific needs. In sessions, whether on the mat or in the therapy room, I create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their emotional depths, spiritual growth, and physical wellbeing. Combining my love for the esoteric with evidence-based therapy, I help clients transform pain into power and invite them to step into their authentic selves. Whether you're seeking to heal past wounds, align your chakras, or simply find a sense of peace, I am here to support your journey toward wholeness and self-discovery. Step into the sacred, embrace your magic, and begin your transformation.

I received my Master’s degree from Lewis and Clark college in Portland, OR in counseling psychology and addictions studies. Here I completed a 3 year Eating Disorder Certificate program. I have been working as a counselor in various capacities since 2006 including outpatient, intensive-outpatient, residential treatment, and acute psychiatric hospital settings. I have experience treating various Eating Disorder spectrum diagnosis including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, Exercise Addiction and Body Dysmorphic Disorder. I also have experience treating Substance Use Disorders, and other mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, relationship issues, and mood fluctuations. My personal style of counseling is holistic in nature, as I come from a humanistic belief that every individual has the ability to change. From this approach, the individual learns how to utilize their own inner strengths to find more purpose and meaning in their life. I utilize a Health and Every Size approach (HAES) and draw from Intuitive Eating interventions when appropriate. My role as a counselor is to highlight each individual’s power to change, helping them to gain more awareness in how to live a more fulfilling and authentic life.

Bio
Dr WendyLeigh White, a licensed naturopathic doctor and nondiet weight-neutral nutritionist, takes a “nature cure” approach to prevention and healing in her clinical practice, teaching, and speaking. She has maintained a clinical practice since 2008 and taught at the graduate level 2016-2021. In 2020 and 2021, she was included in the Portland Monthly’s Top Doctors, Naturopath category. She provides naturopathic care, nutrition counseling, Safe and Sound Protocol, and Visionary Craniosacral Work (VCSW) at Heart Spring Health. Her aim is to empower every one of her patients/clients/students, especially those in larger bodies, to understand the interconnected systems of your body and its specific needs. In this way, you learn to tune in to the signals your body is telling you. Only then can you give it what it needs to heal, to thrive, to learn how not to follow in your family’s medical footprints. Building from a “nature cure” philosophy (food, water, air, movement, relationships), Dr White specializes in developing personalized lifestyle plans that align to your unique genetic makeup and lifestyle. She enjoys coaching people who are needing support with nervous system soothing, blood sugar management, prediabetes, and Type 2 diabetes. Dr White is most passionate when she is speaking to groups about the body’s innate ability to heal itself and to keep itself in balance when supported appropriately.
