Welcome! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who is passionate about helping people grow into being the person that they want to be and leaving behind the parts of life that aren’t working for them anymore. I specialize in eating disorder and trauma therapy, and everything that comes along with it (perfectionism, anxiety, depression, dissociation, etc). I have worked in community mental health, intensive outpatient care, partial hospitalization care, and residential care. My experience with different levels of severity in therapy allows me to meet you where you’re at. I am a Heath at Every Size®, Intuitive Eating/anti-diet, LGBTQ+ affirming practitioner. I like to take a supportive approach to therapy where we work as a team - you’re the expert on your life and I’m here to help you learn more about yourself and give you the skills that you need to keep moving forward.

I have training and experience helping people address a variety of eating disorder symptoms from a HAES perspective. I integrate a variety of approaches to also address trauma, mood, anxiety and addictions issues, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, and CPT.

I believe no matter what you face, there is hope for change. Many of my clients come to me for trauma and abuse recovery, depression, anxiety and panic attacks, disordered eating and body image issues. I am a certified Brainspotting therapist, Clinical Trauma Professional, Certified in Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST), and use Gottman method for couples work. Jennifer is a mental health therapist (LCSW) specializing in adult women's eating disorder treatment. She enjoys working with adults by helping them to formulate a foundation of self-compassion and distress tolerance, process feelings such as shame, perfectionism, and control, and helps with mindfulness training for uncomfortable emotions such as depression and anxiety. She enjoys working across the spectrum of eating disorder populations, but takes a special interest in working with binge eating disorder, and women living in larger bodies. My approach to therapy is rooted in curiosity, respect, and flexibility. I work with clients who are looking to heal their relationship with food and body, particularly those who have struggled with disordered eating, chronic dieting, body image distress, and perfectionism. I also frequently work with folks in the prenatal, postpartum, and early parenthood stages of life who are struggling with body changes and want to embody and model body neutrality and acceptance in their emerging family system. I practice relational and psychodynamic therapy and integrate Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectic Behavior Therapy when indicated. My work is deeply informed by principles of Health at Every Size, Intuitive Eating, and Body Trust®, and the underpinnings of my work lead me to dismantle sizism and fatphobia in my work with clients. I am a certified Body Trust® provider through the Center for Body Trust (formerly Be Nourished). I offer in person sessions with masks and telehealth to adults currently residing in Oregon and Washington.

Hello! I specialize in nutrition therapy for individuals affected by eating disorders or disordered eating. I work with adults, teenagers, and caregivers of young children. In 2013 I began working in the eating disorder field with employment at Carolina House’s residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), and intensive outpatient (IOP) eating disorder programs. In 2017 I joined a non-diet private practice where I continue to use weight inclusive, responsive feeding, intuitive eating and trauma-informed practices. My goal is to provide highly individualized care for clients, and their loved ones, as they find a more peaceful and sustainable relationship with food.

As a counselor, I have training and clinical outpatient experience with teens, adults and elders with eating disorders. I am also a certified Body Trust and Somatic EMDR practitioner. My niche within the world of eating disorder care is working with neurodivergent, gender expansive, and queer folks along with those who have complicated body stories through chronic illness.
