My practice specializes in helping individuals grow a positive relationship with food and move away from the damages restrictive diet patterns can cause. I practice from a weight inclusive, Health at Every Size, and intuitive eating approach. I am passionate about helping clients make peace with food, movement, and their body through an individualized approach focusing more on behavioral change and less on numbers. Currently I work with adults 18+ with disordered eating thoughts and behaviors and general nutrition related health concerns. Other services I offer include group nutrition classes as well as cooking demonstrations for private groups and worksite wellness. From my love of food and cooking, I develop recipes for my blog and offer menu/meal planning assistance.

Happily and creatively here to support clients' self-discovery, and guide them toward healing their relationships with food, body, others & self. While I specialize in providing support to individuals, families & carers encountering eating disorders & related issues, I'm available to support those seeking a wide array of mental health reclamation, however that may look. Whether ready to make change or perhaps just ready to start thinking about it, I provide a space for clients to process, feel & navigate through it. My goal is to support clients in getting where they want to go, be that toward recovery, harm reduction, rest, relief. We'll figure it out together! My approach to therapy is client-centered and collaborative. Creativity is key; I provide therapy that is shaped to fit each individual - their preferences, their needs, their goals. I believe in doing things differently. Healing and self-discovery is far too complex and personal to rely only on standard practice. I offer 3 modes of therapy: (1) In-Person (office) (2) Virtual (3) Outdoor/Exposure Therapy. Outdoor/exposure therapy consists of an in-person meeting that takes place at a nature or community-based location as determined in collaboration with the client. - Better able to access emotions in nature? See you at Mt. Tabor. - Ready to challenge a fear food? I'll join you. - Interested in exploring mindful movement? Let's go. - Want to explore a new resource? I'm happy to help! - My office location also includes access to a gated yard and garden where sessions can take place while maintaining privacy and confidentiality. *I find a mix of these 3 modes can elevate the therapy process by providing a dynamic path for clients to explore healing across a wide range of environments and real-life experiences. Rates vary depending on mode + length of services. [ I do not currently accept insurance; I do provide superbills to support clients in utilizing out-of-network benefits and seeking reimbursement from their insurance providers. ] Outside of individual therapy, areas of professional growth and interest include program development, family and systems integration, and active collaboration with the greater community to ensure use of more diverse, wide-ranging interventions for healing. I am not currently offering group therapy but this is a resource I am actively working on building and I hope to provide groups in 2025. Groups I am looking to provide will be specifically geared toward young adolescents (11-14), older adolescents (14-17) as well as groups built specifically for parents/caregivers of children and teens with eating disorders. While I mainly specialize in providing therapeutic support to adolescents & families (systems) seeking treatment and/or continued care for eating disorders and related conditions, I do also greatly enjoy working with adults in need of support focused on life skill development, community integration and advocacy for resources and access. I also have a keen interest in making myself better suited to be a support to the population of gender-expansive youth and young adults; I am invested in leaning more about how I can advocate for and assist this group in navigating their recovery processes and discovering and/or reclaiming their healthy, euphoric selves. I aspire to encircle myself with forward thinkers and to devote my creativity and energy to environments and communities that are bursting with new ideas, compassionate listeners, and social justice-informed advocates. I am very grateful to be a part of the CREDN community.

My career as a licensed professional counselor, Lewis & Clark adjunct faculty member, and clinical supervisor, have allowed me to help clients set achievable goals with realistic objectives. I understand the challenges of transition and the importance of navigating change while remaining true to one's personal core values . My work has centered on eating disorders, addiction, depression/anxiety and divorce/relationship recovery. By providing a safe place for healing and growth, clients will begin to understand that opposing feelings are often a normal part of the recovery process. My hope is to support you as you awaken to the miraculous. With twenty years in the counseling field I have centered my practice on addiction, codependency, eating disorders and adjustment to transition. I utilize DBT, MI and Stages of Change in my work. Along with my counseling degree I hold a BA in English from the University of Washington and write fiction/memoir. For clients who are interested, I encourage them to express their narratives in written form. Call or Email Kim Conrow for a free phone consultation now -

It often seems like finding a medical provider who sees beyond the surface and takes us seriously about our health concerns is nearly impossible. As a fat, queer woman, I have experienced this as a patient and do my best to see the person in front of me for who they are and address their issues to the best of my ability. We are experts in our own bodily experience, and we also need someone on the outside to support us in seeing and navigating our health challenges. I love to work with folks to find peace in their bodies and find health that is not based in unreasonable societal expectations.
