Susanne found her passion for medicine and healing in naturopathic medicine. She completed her Naturopathic Doctor degree at Bastyr University in Seattle, followed by a medical residency at the National University of Natural Medicine. Soon thereafter, Susanne and her husband celebrated the birth of their first baby. Susanne’s medical training and practice are based on the naturopathic philosophy, which holds that each individual has an innate drive and ability to heal. Using this foundation, Susanne is passionate about practicing patient-centered medicine and brings naturopathic modalities including nutrition, botanical medicine, body work, and homeopathy into her visits. In her approach to care she strives to recognize each person’s uniqueness and aims to foster a collaborative relationship to promote wellbeing.

I see individuals who are experiencing feelings of depression, anxiety, body image issues, relational distress, spiritual issues, grief/loss, and eating disorders. Many of my clients are trying to cope with the effects of trauma in their life in addition to feelings of insecurity, perfectionism, self-hatred or shame. It takes great courage to seek counseling, and I can help you develop insight into yourself, learn new tools for coping, find your voice, and seek healing from your past. Additionally, I have over ten years of experience working with clients in eating disorder recovery and utilize a Haes and intuitive eating informed approach to recovery and treatment. My counseling approach is holistic and informed by the relationship between mind, body and soul. I strive to provide a compassionate and hope-filled experience for each of my clients. I draw from EMDR, IFS, attachment, and psychodynamic therapy, while also utilizing other tools tailored to each individual I work with. Dr. Paige Marmer (she/her) received her B.A. at the University of Vermont, and her M.S. and Psy. D. at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in counseling and clinical health psychology. Paige completed a pre-doctoral internship and a post-doctoral fellowship at Temple University's Tuttleman Counseling Services in Philadelphia. Paige has experience working in both outpatient and inpatient settings, and has worked with adults, adolescents, couples, and families within both individual and group therapies. Her background has primarily been within the cognitive-behavioral orientation, though she also integrates relational, psycho-dynamic, and interpersonal approaches into her work. She blends a direct and solution-focused approach while providing a comfortable space for individuals to explore their own feelings, experiences, and behaviors. Paige offers a safe and supportive place where individuals can feel understood and consider areas of change. Paige's clinical interests include eating disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, difficulty with interpersonal relationships, self-esteem concerns, substance abuse problems, and identity issues. Paige’s approach to body wellness is modeled after Intuitive Eating and she identifies as a Health at Every Size provider. She seeks to help her clients redefine their relationship with food and body. Paige maintains a practice around cultural humility, recognizing that there is no “endpoint” in cultural curiosity, awareness, learning, and action.”

Lauren specializes in working with adults and teens (ages 16+) who struggle with eating disorders, disordered eating, body image issues, ADHD, anxiety, self-discovery, and LGBTQ+ acceptance. Her therapeutic style centers around self-compassion, empowerment, and self-exploration to help clients align with their authentic selves. She believes that the client's experience in therapy should be as unique as they are, and integrates different modalities based on the client's personality, goals, and preferences. Lauren is a bit of an astrology nerd, cat mom (but dogs are awesome too!), and is always hooked on a new hyperfixation hobby. Feel free to ask her about it! Nadine is a feminist therapist in the states of Washington and Oregon specializing in eating disorder recovery and religious trauma/deconstruction. After practicing in a University setting with college students, they worked at the residential level of care for two years. Nadine has experience working with clients ages 18-70, offering individual, relationship and family therapy, and group therapy for diverse groups of people. I am a licensed clinical health psychologist who provides teletherapy to clients in Oregon and Washington. Practicing since 2014, I earned my Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2020 and completed my predoctoral and postdoctoral generalist training in integrated primary care through the National Psychology Training Consortium. I have experience working in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programs, and outpatient care for individuals recovering from eating disorders. My focus is on working with individuals who experience anxiety, eating and body image concerns, are exploring matters related to culture, sexuality, gender and neurodivergence (Autism, ADHD, Gifted, 2e), and who are facing family of origin concerns such as, intergenerational trauma, estrangement or disownment. I practice from the perspective of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and incorporate a combination of approaches including DBT, IFS, exposure, and psychedelic preparation and integration. I identify as a neuroqueer, gender-nonconforming second-generation Puerto Rican Iranian. My passions and experiences are rooted in working with adults (18+), LGBTQIA2s+, BIPOC, creatives, neurodivergent people (ADHD/Autism/Gifted/2e), and people living in marginalized bodies.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based treatment used to treat complex, multi-diagnostic individuals with a wide range of behavioral health concerns such as eating disorders, suicidality, self-harm, substance use disorders, and difficulties in emotion regulation. Portland DBT Institute offers three levels of adherent DBT treatment: enhanced skills training (skills-only groups), standard outpatient DBT, and intensive outpatient programs (IOP). The Eating Disorder IOP (ED-IOP) at Portland DBT Institute is a 16-week program specifically designed to provide comprehensive, evidence-based treatment for individuals battling eating disorders, including anorexia, ARFID, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and other disordered eating behaviors. This program is grounded in DBT, which has been proven highly effective in helping individuals develop healthier relationships with food, body image, and emotional regulation. The ED-IOP is an excellent fit for adults and young adults struggling with disordered eating behaviors who may need more support than traditional outpatient services or are transitioning to the community from a higher level of care.

It often seems like finding a medical provider who sees beyond the surface and takes us seriously about our health concerns is nearly impossible. As a fat, queer woman, I have experienced this as a patient and do my best to see the person in front of me for who they are and address their issues to the best of my ability. We are experts in our own bodily experience, and we also need someone on the outside to support us in seeing and navigating our health challenges. I love to work with folks to find peace in their bodies and find health that is not based in unreasonable societal expectations.
