Founded in 1996, Monte Nido specializes in the treatment of eating disorders for all genders and includes four distinct clinical programs: Monte Nido, Clementine, Rosewood and Walden. Local to Oregon are Monte Nido Rainrock and Portland adult residential, Clementine West Linn and Clementine Lake Oswego adolescent residential treatment, Eugene and Portland adolescent and adult PHP and IOP and virtual PHP and IOP. We accept Oregon Health Plan insurance along with most major commercial insurance carriers, including Kaiser, along with OHP, and are able to accept that coverage at our Rosewood (Arizona) programs. For over two decades, our tenured and expert staff — which includes recovered professionals — has delivered treatment that leads to full recovery. With over fifty programs in thirteen states, Monte Nido provides eating and co-occurring disorder treatment in inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient levels of care. All of Monte Nido’s residential programs are Joint Commission accredited.

I believe that every person, no matter the age, has a story to tell about their lives and it takes a tremendous amount of courage to begin to share this story. As your therapist, my hope is to help you find your voice, speak your truth, begin the healing process and ultimately feel a sense of personal accomplishment along the way. I seek to provide you with clarity of thought and peace of mind and heart. I have a specific focus working with individuals (including children and adolescents/teens), couples and families on issues ranging from eating disorder/body image concerns, depression, anxiety, parenting struggles, couples/pre-marital and marriage counseling and family conflict as it relates to parent/child dynamics. My therapeutic approach is gentle and strengths based. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process where we will work together to establish goals you wish to achieve. We will actively discuss how you feel about these goals and will also talk about how you know when you have reached them.

Hi! My name is Abby Ernst (she/her) and I am SO excited that you found me. I am here to help you weather the storm of your eating disorder, anxiety, body image distress, and/or whatever else you bring to the room. Through my own eating disorder recovery, and helping many clients find theirs, I have learned that no recovery journey is the same. Recovery is SO worth it, and I would be honored to help you navigate this process. I work with individuals 16 and older in Oregon and Washington with eating disorders including Anorexia, Bulimia, ARFID, Orthorexia, and Binge Eating Disorder. I also love to work with people with other forms of disordered eating and chronic dieting, anxiety, OCD, body image distress, life transitions, and adulting. I have experience working in both residential and outpatient eating disorder care, with queer and trans clients, and with both teens and young adults. I utilize techniques including DBT, CBT, and Narrative Therapy. I am committed to fat liberation, body neutrality, and anti-racist work and operate from a Health at Every Size lens. Hi there - I’m Mariah! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington. I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Western New England University and my master’s degree in counseling psychology from American International College. I am currently working on my master’s of science in Kinesiology with a concentration in sport and exercise psychology from University of North Carolina - Greensboro. I recieved EMDR training through the EMDRIA approved trainer Thrive Learning & Publications. My focus is working with adult women struggling with disordered eating behavior. I am open to working with clients with a variety of disordered eating behavior however I have most experience working with individuals struggling with binge-eating, binge-restrict cycles, yo-yo dieting, and orthorexia. I have a background in sport and exercise as well and like to support women who love fitness but have struggled with a difficult relationship with movement/food while engaging in their athletic pursuits. This is not limited to "traditional athletes." There are so many people who do not consider themselves "athletes" but that struggle with their relationship with exercise and food and could be dealing with symptoms such as chronic undereating for their activity level, overwhelming hunger leading to binges, and loss of menstrual cycle. I am currently accepting graduate student interns for supervision starting Summer/Fall 2025.

I am a licensed mental health therapist in Oregon and Washington and provide in-person and virtual therapy in Portland, Oregon. I specialize in working with adults (18+) with eating disorders, disordered eating, and negative body image, providing individual and group therapy. I completed my Eating Disorder Certificate in 2023 from Lewis & Clark College. I earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2019, from George Fox University and a Bachelor of Arts in Social and Behavioral Studies in 2016, from George Fox University. My specialties include helping adults 18 and over who face challenges with body image and eating concerns, traumatic experiences, and behavior patterns that may be related to physical as well as mental health. I have experience providing Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for mood and anxiety difficulties. I provide compassionate and evidence based nutrition counseling. I am also a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, and weave this into the work I do. I love supporting adults who have identified that whatever they are doing isn't working anymore, and are ready to dig deep into their food and body story, in order to find relief and maybe even freedom. I also work as a clinical dietitian, and am able to support clients with other health conditions, including but not limited to digestive issues (IBD, IBS), type 1 and type 2 diabetes, etc. I provide individual nutrition counseling via telehealth, but also offer educational grocery store tours and in home cooking lessons in the greater Portland and Vancouver area. Hi, I'm Ellie! I enjoy supporting clients in exploring body image and patterns of disordered eating through a compassion-focused, non-judgmental, and systems-informed lens. I strive to create an accepting and supportive space in sessions for clients to feel truly seen and heard. I utilize a person-centered approach in accompanying clients on this journey with warmth, humanness, a dose of humor, and unconditional positive regard. I believe that healing can happen through supported exploration and compassionate connection to trusting and caring humans. It is deeply important to me that I incorporate approaches which honor the unique needs of every client, as it is my hope that this can be a space in which clients feel supported, celebrated, and cared for. I enjoy bringing curiosity into this work and meeting clients where they are at - I see the therapy process as one which is creative and collaborative between client and counselor. I typically work with clients age 16+. I am neurodiversity affirming and welcoming of each client's unique experiences and needs. I am passionate about providing high quality, trauma informed mental health services.
