Naturopathic Doctor
Bio
I am a naturopathic doctor specializing in the medical management of eating disorders, integrative mental health, autism/ADHD evaluations, and gender affirming hormones. I work with teens and adults to support them in their eating disorder recovery from the medical perspective, ordering labs, doing vitals, and offering prescription and natural mental health treatment options.
I take the time to truly listen to may patients, educate patients on their treatment options, and help make a decision as a team. I see the whole person and want to work with you as a whole person, not just one aspect of your health. I practice from an intuitive eating and health at every size perspective and am comfortable helping you navigate any co-occurring diagnoses such as digestive issues, PCOS, hormonal issues, thyroid disease, or mental health concerns in addition to eating disorders. I utilize a variety of treatment modalities including massage, herbs, supplements, medications, lifestyle counseling, and homeopathy to support you in your recovery and path to overall wellness.

Hi, I'm Ellie! I enjoy supporting clients in exploring body image and patterns of disordered eating through a compassion-focused, non-judgmental, and systems-informed lens. I strive to create an accepting and supportive space in sessions for clients to feel truly seen and heard. I utilize a person-centered approach in accompanying clients on this journey with warmth, humanness, a dose of humor, and unconditional positive regard. I believe that healing can happen through supported exploration and compassionate connection to trusting and caring humans. It is deeply important to me that I incorporate approaches which honor the unique needs of every client, as it is my hope that this can be a space in which clients feel supported, celebrated, and cared for. I enjoy bringing curiosity into this work and meeting clients where they are at - I see the therapy process as one which is creative and collaborative between client and counselor. I typically work with clients age 16+. I am neurodiversity affirming and welcoming of each client's unique experiences and needs. I have completed the eating disorder counseling certificate program at Lewis and Clark and I am completing EMDR training in June of 2025.

Let’s be honest, being a human is a messy experience and living in a body is hard! We are all deserving of spaces where we can be our most authentic and vulnerable selves, where we feel supported and seen. My goal as a therapist is to create a safe, non-judgmental environment to support you in telling your story and engaging in transformative work. Through authentic connection, I work with clients to repair attachment wounds, process grief, and reconnect with their truest selves.
I’m passionate about working with clients on issues of body grief, which is often the manifestation of the intersection of two or more of the following:
-Chronic illness and disability
-PTSD, relational trauma and CPTSD
-Body image challenges and disordered eating
-Aging and death concerns
-Marginalized identities (LGBTQIA+ and those of the racial global majority)
-Unfulfilled roles (e.g. motherhood)
-Religious trauma and purity culture
Body grief can leave us with feelings of disconnection, resentment, anxiety, and isolation. In witnessing our grief and dismantling what has led us to feeling “at war” with our bodies, we can find increased resilience, hope and eventually a return to body trust. *I believe reconnection with our bodies, and specifically recovery from eating disorders, is possible and I subscribe to harm reduction philosophies that allow clients to heal at whatever pace is sustainable for them.
I strive to engage collaboratively and compassionately with all of my clients throughout their therapeutic journey. I offer trauma-informed, culturally grounded, and relational therapy rooted in liberatory perspectives. My collaborative and eclectic approach integrates Somatic Therapy, Depth Psychology, Parts work, ACT, DBT, and Existential Therapy. I believe in client led work, meaning that I trust you as the expert of your own story and that you are in control of our time together. I may provide guidance and suggestions, but I will always encourage clients to trust their own inner knowing and sense of timing in this work.
I am a HAES aligned, identity-affirming therapist who whole-heartedly welcomes all clients including LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, disabled, BIPOC, poly and kink identified folks.
Whether you’ve had many counseling experiences, or this is your very first, I look forward to learning about who you are and where you want to go on your path towards healing. Reach out to schedule a free consultation to learn more about working together.

I see individuals who are experiencing feelings of depression, anxiety, body image issues, relational distress, spiritual issues, grief/loss, and eating disorders. Many of my clients are trying to cope with the effects of trauma in their life in addition to feelings of insecurity, perfectionism, self-hatred or shame. If any of this sounds like you, I want you to know that you are not alone and counseling can help. It takes great courage to seek counseling, and I can help you develop insight into yourself, learn new tools for coping, find your voice, and seek healing from your past.
Additionally, I have over ten years of experience working with clients in eating disorder recovery and utilize a Haes and intuitive eating informed approach to recovery and treatment.
My counseling approach is holistic and informed by the relationship between mind, body and soul. I strive to provide a compassionate and hope-filled experience for each of my clients. I draw from EMDR, IFS, attachment, and psychodynamic therapy, while also utilizing other tools tailored to each individual I work with.
I am committed to helping you restore and live fully into who you are created to be and I would be honored to walk with you during this part of your story
