Hi there!
I’ve been practicing as a dietitian for over eight years and have worked in primary care settings where I supported individuals with various nutrition-related health concerns as well as eating disorder treatment centers at the residential, PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program), IOP (Intensive Outpatient), and outpatient levels of care.
I practice nutrition counseling with an anti-diet, intuitive eating, and HAES® approach. This means that I uphold the belief that food is not black and white and that people in larger bodies deserve equal treatment in society, including healthcare. Additionally, I support and align with the fat liberation movement by acknowledging the systems within our society that oppress fat individuals and by participating in dismantling these systems.
I am also passionate about providing care to people of all backgrounds and identities. It is important to me to create a space that is safe, welcoming, and inclusive for everyone and every body.
In working with individuals with diverse backgrounds, I feel it’s important to acknowledge the various forms of privilege I have as a white, cis-gendered, able-bodied, straight-sized person. Because of my own privilege, I realize that I do not share the lived experience of everyone I work with, which is why it is important to me to listen to your story and understand who you are as an ally in your journey and pursuit of healing.
In addition to working with individual clients, I also offer supervision to dietitians looking to enhance their eating disorder recovery and anti-diet nutrition counseling skills.

Hi, I'm Ellie! I enjoy supporting clients in exploring body image and patterns of disordered eating through a compassion-focused, non-judgmental, and systems-informed lens. I strive to create an accepting and supportive space in sessions for clients to feel truly seen and heard. I utilize a person-centered approach in accompanying clients on this journey with warmth, humanness, a dose of humor, and unconditional positive regard. I believe that healing can happen through supported exploration and compassionate connection to trusting and caring humans. It is deeply important to me that I incorporate approaches which honor the unique needs of every client, as it is my hope that this can be a space in which clients feel supported, celebrated, and cared for. I enjoy bringing curiosity into this work and meeting clients where they are at - I see the therapy process as one which is creative and collaborative between client and counselor. I typically work with clients age 16+. I am neurodiversity affirming and welcoming of each client's unique experiences and needs. I have completed the eating disorder counseling certificate program at Lewis and Clark and I am completing EMDR training in June of 2025.
At this time, my clinic is able to accept the following insurance plans:
IHN OHP; Jackson Care Connect OHP; PacificSource commercial insurance; PacificSource OHP; CareOR/HealthShare OHP.
Please see my psychology today page for additional information about therapy services offered.

I am a non-diet, weight inclusive Registered Dietitian offering 1:1 nutrition counseling based in Portland, OR and formerly from Brooklyn, NY. I specialize in eating disorders and disordered eating, and am passionate about helping people find peace in their relationship with food and body. I counsel through the lens of intuitive eating, use evidence-based practices, and take a client-centered approach to help clients work towards recovery and food freedom.
Before becoming a Registered Dietitian, I worked as a professional dancer. While this career was driven from a joy of movement and passion for the stage, it also meant growing up in a world that required perfection and unattainable body standards. This environment led me to a less than healthy and happy relationship to food and my body. My own journey of rediscovering the joy in food, eating, movement, and respect for my body has inspired me to help others along this path.
I am a firm believer of thinking beyond just physical health when it comes to nutrition, and making space to experience the way food provides nourishment through joy, communal experience, exploration, comfort, honoring cultural backgrounds, and showing and receiving love.
Everybody is deserving of a happy and peaceful relationship with food and their body, and I am honored to create the space to explore what that means for you.

I believe that food plays an important role in connecting us to ourselves and also to those we care about. When an eating disorder or disordered eating develops, it disrupts the relationship with oneself and with others. My goal is to meet you where you are in your recovery process and help you begin or continue your journey. For some individuals, that means having a more structured approach to eating, and for others it means giving yourself permission to eat more freely. My style is to be honest and straightforward, and to support you in finding better ways to nourish your body. If you enjoy being active, and are healthy enough to do so, we can also work on motivations for being active and improving your relationship with physical movement. My approach tends to be direct and supportive, always working within a treatment team. I hope to help you understand why you have used eating disorder behaviors from a nutrition perspective, and help you learn to let them go. I practice from a HAES, non-diet and weight inclusive approach.
